People choose to attend Medical School for any number of reasons.

For Kathleen Berg, it was watching her father grow up with chronic medical problems. She was so grateful every time a doctor was able to ease her father’s pain. After seeing the powerful impact physicians can have on people’s lives – she knew that medicine was her calling.

Years later, Kathleen is enrolled at the University of Minnesota Medical School, still passionate about medicine and one step closer to helping patients like her father.
