RPAP Teaching Sites

Over 100 Minnesota communities with populations ranging from 350 to 30,000 have been RPAP teaching sites.

The practices vary from small family medicine clinics to large multispecialty outpatient centers. Hospitals range in size from 15 to 140 beds.

Many sites have electronic medical records, telemedicine capacity, and new technology for providing patient care.

Requirements

  • Rural or non-metropolitan location
  • More than two physicians on staff
  • Board-certified family physicians
  • Online access to medical resources
  • Relationship with board-certified general surgeon and other full-time and/or part-time specialists
  • Support of hospital and nursing home administration
  • Support of colleagues
