The University of Minnesota Medical School reaches far beyond campus to gain valuable insight and advice – and who better to ask than some of our community’s most accomplished individuals?

The dean's Board of Visitors is made up of many of Minneapolis Saint Paul’s most influential and accomplished community leaders in business, government, and academia.

Meeting twice a year, its members provide advice and counsel to the dean in efforts to maintain and enhance the reputation and stature of the Medical School. It generally helps with long-term planning and serves as a critical link between the University and the region’s economic landscape.

The Board acts as an advocate on behalf of the University, and assists in fundraising efforts critical to the long-term success of the Medical School.
