Personal Biography

Angela has served as the Assistant Director of the Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School since 2002.  In addition to her administrative appointment, she is the course director and instructor of an anatomy course for Mortuary Science majors.  Prior to her position at the
University, she worked in forensic pathology for the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office and as a mortician.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota's Mortuary Science Program in 1995 and currently pursuing a graduate degree in Anatomy Education.

Angela is active in several associations and is currently serving as the Chair of the Minnesota Commission of the Procurement and Use of Anatomical Donations (MN Commission).  The MN Commission is comprised of nine member organizations representing funeral service associations, physicians, transplantable donation organizations, medical schools, surgical training labs and the biomedical device industry, which has formed to increase awareness of whole body donation and to ethically and operationally help meet the demand associated with the growing need for educational activities in Minnesota.

Additionally, Angela was recently elected to a three year board member term on the Anatomical Services Committee of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists and she is active in the American Association of Tissue Banks.
