Ganesh Raveendran, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine Interventional Cardiology Medical Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Administrative Director, Interventional Cardiology A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s general- and interventional-cardiology fellowship programs, Dr. Ganesh Raveendran joined the faculty in 2005 after practicing at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to interventional cardiology, Dr. Raveendran is board-certified in critical-care medicine. In March 2010, he became the medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and the administrative director for interventional cardiology. In 2007, Dr. Raveendran earned a master’s degree in clinical research design and statistical analysis. His current research interests include autologous stem-cell therapy for cardiac repair. Dr. Raveendran is highly committed to optimizing systems for high-quality patient care, and is a Minnesota leader with the American Heart Association’s nationwide Mission: Lifeline™, program, which seeks to save lives by closing the gaps that separate heart-attack patients from timely access to appropriate treatment. Dr. Raveendran’s clinical interests include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization in critical-care and other high-risk patients, and minimally-invasive closure of congenital heart defects in adults.
