Fellowships

VCRC Front Door

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our Cardiovascular Fellowship Programs.

The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship is three years in length and currently has 24 fellows enrolled.  The fellowship program is directed by Dr. Marc Pritzker.

Fellows in the Cardiovascular Disease Program complete clinical rotations at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, Hennepin County Medical Center, the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and Methodist Hospital.  Fellows also have extensive opportunities to participate in both basic and clinical research.

The Cardiovascular Research Fellowship is directed by Dr. Robert Bache and supported by an NIH Multidisciplinary Training in Cardiovascular Research Training Grant.  This provides the opportunity for up to six investigators to spend one to three years in a cardiovascular research laboratory.  Fellows enrolled in the General Cardiovascular Fellowship may participate in this research grant as part of their training.

The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship, directed by Dr. Scott Sakaguchi, is one year in length and currently has three fellows.

The Interventional Fellowship is a two year program with four fellows enrolled.  The program is directed by Dr. Robert Wilson.

"What's Inside" offers more specific information on each of our fellowship programs.

You may also email our fellowship coordinator at cvfellow@umn.edu for more information about our programs.
