About Us
CHE's longterm goal is to create an informed, empowered and activated community that collaborates with researchers and practitioners to improve the health of their populations.
MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTORWelcome to the Center for Health Equity (CHE) website. CHE aims to provide opportunities for scholars and community members to partner and conduct research that can promote health equity. Our researchers are among some of the most distinguished in health disparities research, and our environment prioritizes and supports university-community collaboration. CHE has four cores: Community Engagement Administration Research, Training & Education Research Together, these cores allow CHE to support full-time researchers, post-doctoral students, community researchers, and undergraduates in various aspects of health disparities and minority health research. Many researchers have had their skills enhanced by the collegial climate that CHE fosters. However you have come upon us, as a interested party or a potential partner, we hope you will find what you need to know about CHE from this website. Our website is a work in progress; please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or feedback.
