Patient Care/Support Info
University of Minnesota - Fairview
The Center for Lung Science and Health is a non-profit organization within the University of Minnesota Medical School which is dedicated to enhancing care for patients affected by respiratory-related disease. Mission components include facilitating research, professional education and training, and patient education and public outreach. The Center itself is not a patient care clinic, though many of our leaders and members are physicians in the University of Minnesota Physicians group that provides care for affiliated Fairview System clinics and hospitals. The University established a partnership with Fairview Health Care Systems in 1997 whereby Fairview Systems operates the UM Medical Center and UM Physicians provides clinicians. Education and research programs are directed by the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center (AHC).
