Educational Background
Dr. Silva earned his doctoral degree in chiropractic, and his bachelor’s degrees in biology and liberal studies (biomedical science). He is certified in acupuncture by the New York Chiropractic College and is a fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America.

Brief Biography
Kumu Dane Silva is the founder and director of the Hawaiian Healing Center. This intercultural center coordinates convergent healing, research and educational programs in the local and global communities. Kumu Silva is an instructor for vocational, undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs based in Hawai’i, Washington, Minnesota, California and Japan.
Dr. Silva earned his doctoral degree in chiropractic, and his bachelor’s degrees in biology and liberal studies (biomedical science). He is certified in acupuncture by the New York Chiropractic College and is a fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America. He is a licensed massage therapist in Hawai’i, and certified as an instructor by the Hawaiian Lomilomi Association. He is a founding member of the Kupuna La’au Lapa’au żO Hawai’i.
