Educational Background
PhD Michigan State University in Nutrition

Brief Biography
Born in Michigan, attended University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Spent two years in Louisiana at LSU for MS in Nutrition. Spent post doctoral years at Boston University Hospital in Diabetes Unit and Case Western Reserve in Cleveland in Biochemistry. Spent 3 years at Washington State U in Pullman in Food Science and Nutrition Dept before coming to UM in 1987.
