The poster, R2R: Resident to Resident Teaching of Dermatology Procedures: an Interdisciplinary Educational Innovation, was one of ten selected for oral presentation out of 260 submissions. The work was authored by Lamb, Neal Foman, MD, MS, Rehana Ahmed, MD, PhD, Joseph Brocato, PhD (U of MN Department of Family Medicine), Ben Bornsztein, PhD, and Maria Hordinsky, MD. With more than 2,200 medical educators representing 9,000 GME programs in 133 specialties and subspecialties, and 125,000 residents and fellows, the ACGME Meeting at Disney was massive and impressive. The University of Minnesota Department of Dermatology had special visibility, and many attendees inquired about our R2R experience and requested advice on how to design and implement a similar program at sites as diverse as Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, and Seattle. The University of Minnesota Department of Dermatology, with its residency programs in Dermatology, Combined Internal Medicine and Dermatology, and its fellowship in Procedural Dermatology, is the vanguard of educational developments in the field. For more ACGME information, see New England Journal of Medicine, "The Next GME Accreditation System – Rationale and Benefits," by Thomas J. Nasca, M.D., M.A.C.P. (ACGME CEO), et al., published on February 22, 2012.
