On the Duluth campus, we are focused on a vital mission: educate more family medicine physicians to serve rural and Native American communities. 120 students are on that journey here in Duluth for their first two years of medical school. They follow in the footsteps of more than 1,600 M.D. alumni who began their medical education on this campus.
We are proud to say that those alumni prove the success of our mission: nearly three-fourths of them practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and nearly half practice in rural or small communities (population of 30,000 or less), as compared to 4 percent of doctors nationwide.
