Navy Recruiter, "The Bachelor", Meets with Medical Students
July 14, 2008 Known to fans of the network television show, The Bachelor, Lieutenant Andrew Baldwin visited the Medical School in Duluth today to talk to medical students interested in hearing about the advantages of serving as a physician in the U.S. Navy. He was in Duluth as part of Navy Week – a Navy recruiting event. Click here to view his presentation.
While Baldwin, 31, is widely known for his “Bachelor” role, his website describes him as an Undersea Medical Officer, Ironman triathlete, Navy Diver, and humanitarian currently stationed in Washington, D.C. at the Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Triathlete and Competitor magazines recognized him with humanitarian awards for his participation in a military mission in remote mountain villages in Laos. He is also described as a community leader, motivator, and advocate for international service.
