Mission

The mission of the new Center for Rural Mental Health is to better understand the factors contributing to mental health in rural and frontier areas and the barriers to effective treatment of problems. Through interdisciplinary, intercollegiate, and community collaboration, the Center will discover and disseminate knowledge to generate better approaches to prevention, assessment and treatment that fit the rural setting financially, culturally and geographically.
