Graduate Programs
The Medical School Duluth campus faculty is actively involved in training graduate students. Programs leading to the doctor of philosophy degree are offered under the aegis of the corresponding programs on the Twin Cities campus and the University of Minnesota Graduate School in the following areas: biochemistry, molecular biology and biophysics; microbiology, immunology, and molecular pathobiology; cellular and integrative physiology; pharmacology; and toxicology. Cooperative programs at the master’s degree level are offered by these same departments. The Medical School Duluth faculty also participates in the graduate education of students in the Departments of Psychology, Sociology-Anthropology, Biology, and Chemistry on the UMD campus.
