LIONS CHILDREN'S HEARING CENTER at the University of Minnesota
Call toll-free 866-523-2134 or locally, (612) 625-7753.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility that brings together in one location resources for children with hearing disorders--from detection to assessment of associated health and genetic conditions to education of families on treatment options and long-range plans.
The Lions Children's Hearing Center will integrate frontline research conducted in the Medical School's Department of Otolaryngology and elsewhere in the University of Minnesota with clinical care, strengthening both missions. An interdisciplinary team designed for the specific needs of each child will collaborate to affect the best treatment plan. Children can be seen by all of the following specialists in one location with a single phone call:
- Pediatric otolaryngology
- Pediatric audiology
- Pediatric infectious disease
- Genetics
- Habilitative audiology
- Speech-language pathology
- Deaf and hard-of-hearing advocacy
- Other specialty medical services as needed
More than a clinic, the Lion's Children's Hearing Center is an educational resource for families and a research facility for hearing professionals worldwide.
