Clinical Interests: Dr. Paparella acted as Professor and Chairman of the department from 1967 to 1984. Since that time his role is Clinical Professor. He is also Director of the Otopathology Laboratory since 1967. Dr. Paparella currently is in private practice at Minnesota Ear, Head & Neck Clinic and is president of that practice. He is also the founder of the International Hearing Foundation.

Research Interests: Dr. Paparella directs the activities of the Otopathology Laboratory which is dedicated to otological research, education and public service, and continued support of the University of Minnesota. Research areas fo emphasis include otitis media and Meniere’s disease. Dr. Paparella has published over 550 books, chapters and articles for scientific journals throughout his career.
