Faculty requesting promotion to associate professor or professor, or those requesting tenure must submit a dossier which will be voted on at the departmental, collegiate, and University levels. The Medical School is requiring eight copies of each candidate’s dossier plus the original (total nine).

Policies regarding external letters have changed.  Please read the instructions regarding external letters in the model dossier to ensure compliance.  Dossiers that do not meet these requirements cannot be considered by the collegiate committee and will be returned to the departments for amendment.

Promotion and tenure dossiers are due by September 15, 2008 in the Office of Faculty Affairs (C692 Mayo Memorial Building). This deadline is firm. If you have additional questions, please contact the Office of Faculty Affairs at 612-624-5442 or msfacaff@umn.edu.
