Sports Medicine Fellowship

The fellowship is a one-year, ACGME-accredited training program, sponsored by the University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (UMN FMCH) and University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.

Established in 1987 under the direction of Robert Johnson, MD, in collaboration with the Hennepin County Medical Center Department of Family and Community Medicine, Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital, and UMN FMCH, the fellowship was one of the first of its kind in the nation.

72 fellows have successfully completed the program as of July 2011.
