Global Family Medicine Pathway
Developing family physicians who have the skills and knowledge to care for global citizens
The Global Family Medicine Pathway gives University of Minnesota family medicine residents an opportunity to enroll in a longitudinal educational track with structured international experiences.
Collaborators
Courses and workshops are offered in collaboration with the University's departments of medicine and pediatrics.
Leadership
Therese Zink, MD, MPH, directs the pathway. Her experience includes training health professionals in domestic violence management; volunteering in Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Brazil; and leading teams to assess women's and community health care in Central America.
