Call

Smiley’s call includes inpatient admissions and clinic calls.

Our guiding principles:

• Appropriate volume and frequency
• Full supervision by seniors with faculty

First Year

• Family Medicine Service: Three months with a mix of days and night float
• OB Service: Two months with a mix of days and night float

Second Year

• Two months on the Family Medicine Service with two calls
• OB at Methodist Hospital: Q3 (one month)
• Two months with no call
• Five months with four calls per month

Third Year

• Two months on the Family Medicine Service with two calls
• Two months with no call
• Eight months with four calls per month
