Bio

Boulger is a charter faculty member on the Medical School - Duluth campus and has held many positions since 1974, including associate dean for student affairs, admissions, and administration and interim dean. Currently, he holds joint appointments in the departments of family medicine and behavioral sciences and directs the Center for Rural Mental Health Studies. Boulger has received the National Rural Health Association Distinguished Rural Health Educator of the Year Award; University of Minnesota President’s Award for Outstanding Service; University of Minnesota Medical Alumni Society Harold S. Diehl Award; and MAFP President’s Award.
