Bio

Mendenhall’s principal investigative interests include community-based participatory research, diabetes intervention, and motivating patients to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles. He also serves as an associate director of the University’s Citizen Professional Center, which conducts and promotes community-based participatory research on problems of concern to communities and professionals. Clinically, he works with families who are struggling with chronic illnesses and in the treatment of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and depression/anxiety. Mendenhall is also a certified trauma responder and AAMFT-approved supervisor.
