Rural Observation Experience

The two- to three-day Rural Observation Experience for incoming first- and second-year medical students offers the opportunity to shadow a rural family physician and see first-hand the rewards and challenges of a rural practice.

White Coat Ceremony

First-year medical students receive their white coats and don the professionalism and responsibilities of becoming a physician. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the ceremony.
 
Transition Day  
Date and Time: April, 2009
Location: TBA
Transition Day prepares second-year students for patient care activities. Speakers cover professionalism, ethics, and the importance of humanism and compassion toward patients. Students attend patient care workshops.
