- Survey Results -

About 50% of 2011 graduates filled out a survey offering more information on their specialty choice, private practice, and patient care populations.

Of respondents, more than 70% of those in private practice are working in multispecialty clinics, and about 20% are in single specialty clinics; more than 15% report caring for an underserved community; and about 10% are in health professional shortage areas.

Our grads are employed by a variety of clinics and hospital systems, including Allina, Fairview, HealthEast, Mayo, North Memorial, Park Nicollet, and University of Minnesota Physicians.

While family medicine was the most common specialty of choice, a small number of residents listed other specialty areas, including emergency medicine, geriatrics, and sports medicine.
