PHS Launches Annual Appeal
PHS looks to you for new contributions. In recent years you have helped to guarantee our strong foundation by contributing to the endowment for the Chair in Sexual Health. When we started fundraising we did not realize that the critical need for this endowed fund would come so quickly. Thank you for your commitment. Funding from the Chair fund has helped us to begin to build a layer of human infrastructure beyond the faculty base and to develop new communications materials and to create a PHS presence at community events. We look forward to being able to do more with the endowment in the future.
Our need continues. Your new donations to PHS can enhance our clinic and enrich our research and education. As you consider your year-end philanthropy, even in this tumultuous financial atmosphere, please consider including PHS. We are committed to caring for the sexual health needs in our community. Your donation can directly support our commitment to care. Our faculty have more research ideas than they have time to explore, and your donation can help provide funding to our faculty for essential sexual health research. All levels of support will help us advance the cause of sexual health.
This year you will receive our annual appeal letter in the mail, and of course you are welcome to give any time through the Minnesota Medical Foundation’s web site. You might consider any of our existing funds, designate your gift to a particular cause, or leave it up to us to utilize your gift where it most needed. You may also think of PHS when you consider how you wish to leave your legacy. PHS director, Eli Coleman, PhD, made his own long-term financial commitment to PHS by donating his estate to the Chair in Sexual Health. Coleman said, “I hope that my commitment will encourage others to consider their own legacy and not take our institutions for sexual health for granted.”
