PHS in the Media- Eli Coleman, PhD, talked with the New Yorker about the WPATH Standards of Care for the article "About a Boy: Transgender surgery at sixteen" on March 18, 2013. Coleman explained that the Standards of Care committee used caution when endorsing the use of puberty blockers for some children since the subtle and long-term effects of this treatment is not yet fully understood.
