Processed by SPA, most grants

40 working days (8 weeks) before the funder's deadline

15 working days (3 weeks) before the funder's deadline

Internal proposal
Not processed by SPA, such as MMF and AHC grants

30 working days (6 weeks) before the funder's deadline

5 working days (1 week) before the funder's deadline

Rapid response proposal

Immediately, followed by a call to the interim research director (612-624-3116) to set up a conference call with him, you, the department head, and the grant accountant to determine whether a proposal of competitive quality can be completed in the time allowed
