Register with the National Resident Matching Program and then apply through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).

Submit the following through ERAS:

  • Application
  • Personal statement
  • MSPE or Dean’s letter
  • Medical school transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • USMLE or COMLEX transcripts
  • Photograph

International Medical Graduates Criteria

  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for a J-1 visa
  • Graduated from medical school within the last five years or worked as a physician within the last three years
  • ECFMG certified
  • Minimum of one year of U.S. clinical experience
  • Passed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 (CK) each within two tries
  • Have a maximum of two unsuccessful attempts on all USMLE exams
  • Able to complete USMLE Step 3 within five years of passing USMLE Step 2 (CK)
