Weekly Conferences Schedules

All GI fellows are required to attend the following weekly conferences:

1. Journal Club and Pathology Conference at Regions Hospital (Wednesdays, 7:30 – 8:30 AM).  Click here to see the schedule.  You can view the presentations on MyU.
   
2. GI Citywide Conference at the VA Medical Center (Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:30 PM).  GI fellows present cases during the first hour.  Special topics by faculty and invited speakers are presented during the second hour.  Click here to see the schedule and view the presentations on MyU.

The following focused conferences are held at the University, and GI fellows rotating her for clinics or research are required to attend.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease Conference.  This conference is typically held every Thursday morning, 7 - 8 AM in room VFW372, unless indicated    otherwise.  Dr. Chris Shepela is coordinating this conference.  Please contact him with cases or specific ideas you would like to see discussed.

Liver Conferences.  These are coordinated by Drs. Julie Thompson and Charmaine Stewart.  Please contact them for review of specific cases or topics.
      
      Liver Pathology:
         1.  Every 2nd Thursday 7-8 AM, VFW372 unless indicated
              otherwise.
         2.  Every 4th Wednesday noon hour, VFW372 unless indicated
              otherwise.
      
      Liver Journal Club:
         1.  Every 4th Thursday 7-8AM, VFW372   

Multidisciplinary Conference:  This conference is typically held every third Thursday morning 7-8 AM in room VFW372, unless indicated otherwise.  Topics interface with related subspecialties, including radiology and surgery.  Dr. Alex Khoruts is coordinating this conference.  Please contact him regarding specific cases and topics you'd like to see discussed.

Tumor Conference is held Monday afternoons, 5-6pm, in the Surgery Conference Room on the 11th floor in the PWB building.
