Welcome to the Patient Education section of the General Internal Medicine website!  Here we will house informational handouts on common primary care issues and diagnoses, written in lay language for patients to read and take with them. Below are the handouts in alphabetical order. 

We also suggest the website, www.medlineplus.gov, as a reliable source of patient information. This site is designed by the National Institute of Health and it is updated frequently. Here, patients can search by the name of the diagnosis or disorder or symptom and have access to reliable, up to date, screened health information.
