Policy
Trainees are expected to be neat, clean, and orderly at all times during the performance of training program activities.  Jewelry, clothes, hairstyle and fragrances should be appropriate for the performance of duties in the hospital or clinic.

The trainee’s identification badge is to be worn whenever they are involved in clinical or administrative duties.

Trainees are expected to dress according to generally accepted professional standards appropriate for their training program.  Each training program may set more specific guidelines for dress code standards in its program.  Where safety is a factor, trainees should use common sense in choosing clothing and shoes for training activities.

Scrub suits are appropriate for designated areas, e.g. Operating Room, Labor & Delivery.  In all other areas, a white coat must be worn over the scrub suit.
