Institution Responsibilities: Institution and Program Requirements
The Medical School is committed to providing a quality educational experience for each trainee. One way in which it does so is to ensure that the ACGME institutional requirements are met. The Medical School is the sponsoring institution for the residency/fellowship programs in which you are participating. Each of these programs must operate under the authority of the sponsoring institution and meet ACGME requirements designed to ensure that each program is in compliance with the specific requirements for its particular discipline.
These program-specific requirements include essential educational content, instructional activities, responsibilities for patient care and supervision, and necessary facilities.
To assist you in learning about these, your Program Manual will refer you to your programs’ specific requirements. Please see your program director for more details. Reviewed: 3.12
