Student Services: Library Services
The Health Sciences Libraries serve the six professional schools and colleges of the Academic Health Center (AHC). The Bio-Medical Library and Wangensteen Historical Library, located on the East Bank of the University campus in Diehl Hall, primarily serves the AHC programs of dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health and a variety of allied health programs, while the Veterinary Medical Library primarily serves the College of Veterinary Medicine. The Libraries also provide a growing outreach service to health professionals, the general public, and others in the state and beyond. The Bio-Medical Library’s collection includes thousands of printed and electronic journal subscriptions (over 2,500 electronic subscriptions alone) along with books and non-print materials like DVDs, videos, and anatomical models. The library also provides access to an array of digital resources including MEDLINE, RefWorks, Images.MD, evidence-based resources, and anatomy@tv. A collection of consumer health resources provides high-quality health information for non-academic audiences. Library services include instructional classes, consultations, tours, and free literature searches for U of M students, faculty and staff. For more information and access to our resources you may go to our Web site. Your X.500 userid/password will provide access to our e-journals, e-texts, and databases. (Please note: UptoDate is only accessible in the AHC complex). You may also email our Reference Desk or call us at 612-626-3260 for additional information. Exam Master Exam Master is intended to provide a flexible on-line exam preparation tool for self-study in preparation for the USMLE, Medical Subject exams and / or Certification exams. Each user has the ability to create their own exams by USMLE Outline in either Vignette / Case style questions, Non Vignette / Recall style questions, Medical Subject within USMLE, or by Certification specialty. Combined with the score tracking and immediate feedback, the outline flexibility allows each user to tailor their study as best to meet their specific needs. As new exams are created, they can be based on the individual's actual performance of results from exams they had previously created. Biomed Library Exam Master Reviewed: 3.12
