Program Policy Manuals
Introduction: In accordance with ACGME and Medical School requirements the Sponsoring Institution is required to ensure that our programs have specific, required policies and procedures outlined in their program policy manuals. Fellowship addenda are also done to outline policies and procedures specific to the fellows.
The manuals are updated on an annual basis typically starting in January with GME Administration revising the Institution Manual. New policies and procedures are added to the Program Manual templates and shared with the programs so they can begin updating their manuals. This is typically started in March. This allows programs to get their manuals done prior to the trainees starting the next academic year in June.
Note: In accordance with LCME requirements all trainees must sign a receipt each academic year that they have received and reviewed the Program Manual.
