Resident Leadership Council of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC)
Introduction: This page provides access to information regarding the Resident Leadership Council (RLC). It references relevant policies and procedures, resident council member names/emails and provides the RLC calendar.
The RLC members of the GMEC are selected each year by their peers to serve a voice for all of the trainees. All Resident Leadership Council members are voting members of the GMEC. Trainees who have concerns can contact one of the RLC members at any time. The council members will bring the issue to the RCL and/or GMEC for resolution.

Meeting Information: 2011-2012 GMEC Resident Leadership Council Calendar - The RLC meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of each month (June and December meetings may be canceled, check the calendar). The meeting takes place from 2:30-3:30 PM in B-646 Mayo.
Deadline for submission of agenda items: Submission Deadlines 2011-2012 - Agenda topics and their supporting documentation must be received by 4:30 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Topics and supporting documentation received after the deadline may have to wait for next month's meeting. Please plan accordingly.

Meeting Agenda and Attachments Available on Moodle: GMEC RLC meeting agendas and attachments are available to Council members via the University's Moodle site. The agenda and attachments are posted one week prior to the meeting. Paper meeting packets are not distributed at meetings. If you already use Moodle for another purpose, GME Administration will add you to the GMEC RLC Meeting Moodle page. Once logged in you will see the "GMEC Resident Leadership Council" page on your Moodle homepage or in the "My Courses" section of you myU portal (whichever you use to access Moodle). If you do not currently use Moodle, please see the GMEC RLC Moodle Enrollment Instructions. Please contact Carla Nelson with questions.
Communication to members and guests: The agenda will be emailed by 4:30 on 3rd Wednesday of each month. Please familiarize yourself with the agenda and supporting documentation in Moodle in advance so that we may have a more productive meeting. Attendance: Regular attendance at this meeting is critical to our accreditation status and vital to our mission. Core members who are unable to attend a meeting are asked to contact their alternate to attend in their absence. Attendance reports are emailed quarterly to department chairs with a copy to the members.
Meeting minutes: Meeting minutes are distributed at the next month's meeting for review, discussion and approval.
