Background Study/NetStudy


Instructions for Residents/Fellows

NETStudy is an electronic background study system created by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  All GME programs use this system to process background studies on residents and fellows. 

Please enter your information directly into NETStudy using the following information:

  • Web site:          https://bgs.dhs.state.mn.us/a/Login.asp
  • Facility ID:        900121
  • User ID:            Please contact your Program Coordinator for your User ID.
  • Password:        gme123

After logging in, click on Create Background Study Request to access the Privacy Notice screen.  Use the tab button at the bottom of the screen to navigate through the screens, complete the required information and submit your study request.  You will not receive an electronic verification that the study was accepted.

Please use a compatible internet brower (e.g. for PC's use Netscape 6.0 or higher, Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Mozilla 1.1, or for Mac's use Netscape 6.0).
