Tufia Haddad, MD


Dr. Haddad

Dr. Haddad received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Marquette University in 1995.  After graduation she spent two years studying the Insulin-like Growth Factor axis through laboratory-based research for the Mayo Clinic.  Thereafter she received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in 2001.  Her internal medicine residency was completed at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in 2004.  Following this she joined the University of Minnesota fellowship program in Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation. 

Her research interests include the biochemical and clinical aspects of thrombosis in malignancy, as well as novel therapeutics for breast cancer.  She also has an academic interest in medical education and actively participated in two separate projects for medical student and resident hematology/oncology education.  Dr. Haddad joined the faculty of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation as an Assistant Professor in 2007.
