Vicki A. Morrison, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Sections of Hematology/Oncology and Infectious Disease. Dr. Morrison received her infectious disease training at the National Naval Medical Center (Bethesda, MD), followed by Medical Oncology training at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Her current clinical research interests include: 1) infectious complications of oncology patients, to include a) infectious complications of patients treated with nucleoside analogues, b) mucosal immune function in patients with CLL and multiple myeloma, c) neutropenic prophylaxis in patients receiving cyclical myelosuppressive therapy, d) therapeutic protocols utilizing echinocandins for fungal infections, and e) fungal infections in bone marrow transplant patients; 2) transplant-related lymphoproliferative disorders (evaluation, therapy), 3) therapy of intermediate-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the elderly, and 4) therapy and complications of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
