| | Dr. Morton graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1992. Her internship in internal medicine and general surgery was also carried out at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School, finishing in 1996. She then undertook a categorical internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota from 1996-1998. Dr. Morton was a fellow in Hematology/Oncology, also at the University of Minnesota, from 1998-2003. Dr. Morton is Board certified in Internal Medicine (1999), Oncology (2002), and Hematology (2003). She is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. | Research Interests
| Dr. Morton’s areas of interest include bleeding and clotting disorders and benign and malignant hematology, with a specific focus on thrombotic and hypercoagulable conditions, sickle cell anemia, and pregnancy complications associated with clotting disorders. | Selected Publications
