Balkrishna Jahagirdar, M.D.
 Dr. Jahagirdar completed his initial medical training from the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine from University of Illinois, Chicago, where he was inducted into the Alpha-Omega-Alpha Honor Society for his outstanding contributions to patient care and medical education. During his Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at the University of Minnesota, Dr, Jahagirdar worked on developing new adult stem cell treatments for blood diseases and cancers. His work has been published in high-ranking journals. Dr. Jahagirdar is on the Steering Committee for development of new cancer treatments (Novel Therapeutics) at the North Central Cancer Treatment Group, a national clinical research group sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, based at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, with participating centers throughout the US and Canada. Dr. Jahagirdar is one of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Oncology, whose mission is to provide advocacy for cancer patients and to promote standards of excellence for high-quality cancer care throughout the State of Minnesota. Dr. Jahagirdar is commitment to mentoring the next generation of doctors and has been awarded the Clinical Mentor of the Year Award by his trainees on more than one occasion.
