Naheed Alam, MBBS
Dr. Naheed Alam attended the Dow Medical College in Pakistan from 1992-1999, receiving her MBBS in March 1999. While still a medical student she acted as a house officer at the Civil Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan (1997-1998, with six months of Internal Medicine and six months of General Surgery). After graduation she was a resident in Internal Medicine at Ziaddin Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan from 2000-2001. She continued further residency training in Internal Medicine at the University at Buffalo Catholic Health System Sisters of Charity Internal Medicine Program, Buffalo, New York. During her residency she worked on a research project (at the University of Toronto) to identify the use and effectiveness of complementary therapies in breast cancer patients and survivors. Dr. Alam entered the fellowship program in Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota in 2008.
