Amit Mahipal, MBBS
Dr. Amit Mahipal is doing an observership in Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation while pursuing a Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology) at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Mahipal was awarded the James L. Craig Fellowship at the University of Minnesota in 2003. He received his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University, India in 2001. Dr. Mahipal also has clinical experience as a resident physician in the Department of Medicine at Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi, India. He has conducted research projects on “HIV+/AIDS” and “Reproductive Tract Infection Among Women in Age Group 15-45 Years” under the guidance of Dr. M.M. Singh and “Meta-Analysis of Obesity and Type II Diabetes” under the guidance of Dr. Susan Duval at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Mahipal hopes to gain clinical experience though an observership with the Division and plans to pursue a residency in Internal Medicine in the future, with a specialty interest in Oncology.
