Sravanthi Ravulapati, M.B.B.S.

Dr. Ravulapati

Dr. Sravanthi Ravulapati graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Gandhi Medical College (GMC), Hyderabad, India in December of 2004. She finished her one year of clinical Internship at Gandhi General Hospital, which is a 1500 bed hospital and one of the biggest in the state. Gandhi Medical College has consistently been ranked in the top 10 medical colleges of the country for a long period of time. As a medical student she was awarded a gold medal by the university for achieving the highest marks in the subjects of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry.  She was also awarded an endowment prize by the department of Pathology, for achieving the highest marks in the year 2001.

Dr. Ravulapati is very enthusiastic to join the department of Hematology Oncology and Transplantation at the U of M as an observer to gain insight into the way medicine is practiced in the US. She feels that a university based program like U of M with top level tertiary care managing the most difficult problems utilizing the best advanced and sophisticated therapies is the perfect place to learn. Her interest in Heme/Onc stemmed from working in closed quarters with patients suffering from cancer at the Government Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad.

Dr. Ravulapati is ECFMG certified and is applying for residency in the year 2007 at the University of Minnesota.
