Ingrid Slaba, MD


Dr. Ingrid Slaba


Dr. Ingrid Slaba is a Fulbright grantee at the University of Minnesota, Department of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation, in Dr.  Nigel Key's laboratory. Her project concerns a tissue factor. She is also going to do an observership at the medical and surgical ICU and Cardioanesthesiology ward. 

Dr. Slaba is from Europe, Czech Republic. She works in the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Charles University Teaching Hospital, Charles University in Prague. She finished her residency in anesthesiology and intensive care in June 2004.  Dr. Slaba passed a Boarding Exam in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine with award. Now she is doing her fellowship in the cardioanesthesiology group and preparing for a Specialized Boarding Exam in Critical Care Medicine. Her daily work consists of taking care of  patients in the ICU after cardiac surgery (short term and long term critical care) and also cardioanesthesiology. In the scientific field she is interested in sepsis and relations between inflammation and coagulation. She would like to start a PhD study in this field after finishing her Fulbright fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
