Hu, Shuxian
Shuxian Hu, M.D. is an assistant professor of Medicine. She received her medical degree and pediatrics/neurology training from the Beijing University Medical School and had further fellowship training in the Neuroscience Program at the University of Minnesota before joining the Neuroimmunology Research Laboratory at MMRF. Dr. Hus major research interest is in immunologically mediated neuropathogenesis and neurodegenerative diseases of the CNS, in particular related to viral diseases of the brain. She is also interested in the effects of opioids and other pyschoactive substances on neurons and glial cells.
