Our Mission
The Institute of Human Genetics mission is to function both as a research center and resource for scientists within the Medical School and throughout the University of Minnesota. In this capacity it will develop and foster excellence in human genetic research and education, and provide a bridge between the basic and clinical sciences particularly as they relate to understanding and treating human diseases. Goals -
Provide research space for a core group of principal investigators. -
Provide genetic core facilities to investigators at the University of Minnesota (Mouse Genetic Laboratory, Genomics Core Lab, Genetics Research Core Lab, Histology Core Lab). -
Establish intra-institutional research programs and collaborations. -
Support human genetics educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate student levels. Areas of Research Emphasis -
