Stenberg Award

This award was established through an endowment of Edward Stenberg to provide clinically related educational experiences for Swedish medical students at the University of Minnesota (U of M) Medical School.

Eligibility: Medical students from those medical schools having affiliation agreements with the U of M Medical School (Karolinska Institute, University of Goteberg) who would have clinical training comparable to a 4th year U of M medical student at the time of their matriculation at the U of M Medical School.

Number and amount of awards: Determined each year by the program fund balance within the Minnesota Medical Foundation. Generally, awards will be about $1000 each.

Procedure/basis for selection of awardees:

Applications will be reviewed and prioritized by the deans for International Education at the Swedish institutions participating in this program and will be forwarded on to the IMER Program Office by April 30 or December 31 each year.
