Mentor: Michael Maddaus, M.D.

Dr. Hoang is committed to working at the interface between science (electrical engineering) and medicine (surgery). His specialty interest in heart and lung resulted in work done as an American Heart Association medical student research fellow (see 1997 reference) and clinical experiences during residency training. His broad overall goal is to contribute molecular biology insight to the field of cardiovascular/thoracic disease. Currently, his research efforts are focused on molecular biologic mechanisms of lung cancer.
