Robert Gallegos, M.D.

Dr. Gallegos is a native of the state of New Mexico. His education was completed at the University of California, San Diego, where he obtained his BS in biological engineering and his medical doctorate.

Dr. Gallegos plans to apply his knowledge of engineering to his interest in cardiovascular disease. His current research interest is the field of tissue replacement for the treatment of cardiac failure. He is introducing adult bone marrow stem cells into injured myocardium, and documenting the change in structure and function through the use of cardiac MRI.

Dr. Gallegos has a lovely wife Na Ju and an adorable son Noah, both of whom tolerate his desire to work too many hours each day.
